Terms of Service
The rules for using Jitso Studio and this website. The short version: the app is free and runs on your PC, your content stays yours, and you stay responsible for what you stream and upload.
Last updated 6 October 2026.
1. Agreement
By creating an account, downloading or using Jitso Studio (the desktop app, our multistream relay and this website), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy page. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.
2. What the service is
- The app: a Windows desktop suite for recording, clipping, editing, streaming and uploading. It runs on your own computer; AI features run locally by default.
- The relay: optional servers that receive your stream and forward it to the destinations you choose. You can also run your own relay.
- The website and account: sign-in, a studio access token for the app, and related features such as sponsors and stream statistics.
The Community Edition is free. We may add paid options later; we will say so clearly before you are charged for anything.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your password and studio token secret. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One person per account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been accessed without permission.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.
4. Your content
You own what you record, stream, edit and upload. We do not claim any rights over it. Your video, audio and chat are processed on your PC and, when you stream, passed through the relay only to deliver them to the destinations you set up. We do not store or publish them, and you give us only the limited permission needed to relay them.
You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to it, including game footage, music and other people's material.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to:
- break the law, or stream or upload content that is illegal, or that sexualises minors, or that promotes violence against people;
- infringe copyright or other rights, or break the rules of the platforms you stream or upload to (YouTube, Twitch, Kick and others);
- attack, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to our servers or other users' accounts;
- fake viewers, views or sponsor activity, or tamper with the app or its reports to affect sponsor earnings;
- resell or share the relay or your account, or use them to send large amounts of traffic that is not your own streaming.
We may limit, suspend or end an account or relay access that breaks these rules, and will tell you why when we reasonably can.
6. Third-party platforms
Jitso Studio connects to services we do not run, such as YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Rumble, Vimeo and X. We are not affiliated with them. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and they can change or withdraw their services, limits and accounts without us. Streaming keys and sign-ins for those services are yours to protect.
7. Sponsors and earnings
Sponsor features are optional. Any earnings are confirmed only from viewer counts that our server reads itself from the platforms, never from numbers sent by the app. We can hold, adjust or refuse earnings that look fake, contested or in breach of these terms. Nothing on this site is a promise of income.
8. Open-source software
Jitso Studio uses third-party components such as ffmpeg, llama.cpp and faster-whisper under their own licences. Those licences apply to those components. Except for those, the app and website are ours: you may use the app for its intended purpose, but may not copy, resell or pass it off as your own.
9. Availability and changes
The service is provided as it is and may be interrupted, changed or discontinued, including the relay and the website. We try to keep it running and to give notice of big changes, but we cannot promise it will always be available, and streams can drop for reasons outside our control. Keep a local recording of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. No warranty and limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, the service comes with no warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for lost streams, footage, audience, income or data, or for indirect or consequential loss. Where the law does not allow us to exclude liability, for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, our liability is not limited. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We can end or suspend access if you break these terms or if we have to stop the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content, liability, and the rules for disputes) do.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will give notice on this site or in the app. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
13. Contact
Questions, complaints or notices: [contact e-mail not set: add it to web/src/privacy_page.py].
