How does the login system and Jitso Studio token work?
You can create a free account right here on the website. Inside your account dashboard, you can generate a persistent "Jitso Studio Access Token". Paste this token (or use your username & password) directly inside the desktop app to link your account, manage presets, and authenticate securely.
Do I need to pay for AI credits or cloud servers?
No. By default the AI runs on your own PC (a built-in llama.cpp engine and faster-whisper), so there are no credits to buy. If you choose a cloud provider such as OpenAI, Gemini or Anthropic, you pay that provider directly with your own key or subscription.
Does my video or audio ever get uploaded to an external server?
Recordings, transcriptions, AI highlight scoring and video editing happen on your machine. The app goes online to stream or upload to the platforms you choose, and to a cloud AI only if you configure one.
Does Jitso Studio collect usage data?
A small amount of anonymous usage data: which parts of the app are opened, how long a session lasts, and the app and Windows version, under a random install number. It never includes your account, stream keys, chat, titles or files, and you can delete what was stored in Settings ▸ Privacy. Details are on the Privacy page.
Do I still need a separate streaming or editing app?
Scene Studio composes and captures your scenes with an audio mixer, and Video Studio is a multitrack editor with 40 effects, so for streaming and quick edits you may not need another app.
