What Jitso Studio records, why, and how to delete it. The short version: usage data is anonymous, never linked to your account, and contains nothing you make.

Anonymous usage data
The app records anonymous usage data whenever it runs, so we can see which parts of it are used. It is the same for everyone, it is never linked to your account, and it never contains anything you make.
What is recorded
- Which parts of the app are opened (for example Live Studio or Clip Studio), and when Go Live, recording or an upload batch is used.
- How long each session of the app lasts, in whole minutes.
- The app version and your Windows version (for example βwindows-11β).
- A random install number made on your PC the first time the app runs. It is not linked to your Jitso account, e-mail or IP address.
What is never recorded
- Your account, e-mail or IP address.
- Stream keys, chat messages, titles, game names, file names or folders.
- Your video, audio, screen or webcam.
- Your hardware names or your location.
This is enforced in code: the app can only record a fixed list of short choices and small numbers, and our server throws away anything that is not on that list.
Why, and on what basis
To see which parts of the app are used so we can decide what to improve. The basis is our legitimate interest in improving the app (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). The data is limited to the fixed list above and says nothing about your content or who you are.
Where it goes and how long it stays
It is sent over HTTPS to our own server, the same one that runs this website. No analytics company, advertiser or other third party receives it, and we do not sell or share it. It is deleted automatically after 12 months.
Your control
- Delete my analytics data in Settings βΈ Privacy deletes everything stored under your install number and starts you under a new random number.
- Because the data is not linked to your account, we cannot find it from your name or e-mail. Settings βΈ Privacy shows your install number. To object to this, or to ask anything about it, write to [contact e-mail not set: add it to web/src/privacy_page.py] and include that number.
Accounts and the website
- Account: your username and e-mail, and your password stored only as a salted hash. We also keep your sign-in sessions (with IP address and device or browser details, shown masked in your account) and a security log of sign-in events, to run the account and keep it secure. You can delete your account yourself from your account settings.
- Beta signup: the e-mail address, GPU name and IP address you give when you ask to join the closed beta, used to invite testers.
- Server logs: like any web server, ours keeps access logs, including IP addresses, for a short period to fix faults and block abuse.
Your rights
If the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, or object to our use of it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Write to [contact e-mail not set: add it to web/src/privacy_page.py].
Children
Jitso Studio is not meant for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we ever add a new kind of usage data, we update the lists above first. The date at the top shows when this page last changed in substance.
